This paper investigates the fundamentals of motion planning for minimizing sickness in transportation systems higher automation levels. The optimum velocity profile is sought a predefined road path from specific starting point to final one within and given boundaries constraints order minimize journey time. An empirical approach based on British standard used evaluate sickness. trade-off between time investigated through multi-objective optimization by altering weighting factors. correlation represented as Pareto front because their conflicting relation. compromise two components quantified along curve, while severity determined using frequency analysis. In addition, three case studies are developed investigate effect driving style, vehicle speed, width, which can be considered among main factors affecting According results, style has impact both compared speed width. benefit gives shorter maintaining relatively lower illness rating with speed. width negligible when travelling longer road. results pave development vehicular technologies implement real-world outcomes this paper.
